All About Campus Refilling ( Bottu ) - Part 1
1. What are these boats? How do the boats come ??
Boats, in short, fill vacancies on campus until the number of graduates for each course ...
Every year a special Z (Cut Off Mark) is released for each campus, but in the end, those with Z who are much lower than the Z sent will understand the campus .... or your Z is the campus that gets the Cut Off Mark. A better course than one will come from the boats at the end ..... this is what happens .....
Imagine that the cut-off mark sent to Physical Science at Eastern University from Moneragala by doing Maths is 0.6 ..... but in the end, the minimum Z for those who take that course at Eastern University is 0.1 .... is hard to believe ... but it is true... I took this campus and this course because it is easy to explain .... it happens here with something like this .....
Usually a lot of people who qualify for campus each year ... do not apply for campus .... they come back hoping for a better result .... but every year every campus asks for a certain amount to continue that course .. ... Like taking 350-370 campuses a year for the science course (bio/physical) at the Ruhuna Campus ..... Most of the time after the release of the first Cut-Off - Mark from UGC the medical faculties / engineering faculties / Jayawardenepura Management Faculties / Colombo Law Faculties / Faculty of Law and only a few other faculties .... because a lot of those who have less Z is coming back to the campus that year without asking for the campus. Batch is unable to complete the first Z Score (Cut Off Mark) round ...
Then there will be vacancies in the respective courses in the respective universities ..... I will talk to those below Z to fill the vacancies ..... Sending boats is for that ..... Then the UGC will do the filling first to fill the gaps. I will issue a Z less than the Cut Off Mark .... (I can not see the Z values) I will issue it and talk to them .... then I will see if they can complete it ..... When filling such vacancies, here is something like this It's going to be sister and brother .....
Imagine you get the first Cut Off Mark for Medical Laboratory Science at the University of Peradeniya (Z = 1.5) .... another for the Molecular Biology Course at the University of Colombo (Z = 1.6) .... but whoever opted for this Molecular Biology write the Exam again Decided .... not to register for that course .... then there is a shortage of one for the Molecular Biology course at the University of Colombo .... then UGC issues a Z below it .... sends a boat ....If the lower Z does not match your Z exactly, your Z is higher than the lower Z sent..they will go to your Uni-Codes list and ask if you have applied for the Molecular Biology course in Colombo ... it has been requested by the doctor of the University of Peradeniya If it is above the laboratory course ... then you will qualify for the course in Molecular Biology at the University of Colombo .. (You can see how important the Uni-Codes system is).
..Then when there is a vacancy in the course at the University of Peradeniya that you have chosen, someone with a low Z will get the opportunity to study that course.
..I will try to fill the vacancies like that ..... by sending boats ..... I will send 7/8 rounds like that to fill the remaining vacancies ..... then a rotation will take place ..... the ones below are good for the upper campuses For those who do not understand the campus, those who are not on campus go up to fill the vacancies that arise in those campuses...
When the last boat came around, a lot of people downstairs came to the campus unexpectedly. A lot of people who didn't think about it came up with a good course. But both of them have to be Uni-codes in order. ...
(A full description of this was added to the note I wrote about the campus book when your campus book came out ... maybe remember) ...
Normally a person who understands Eastern University Bio / Physical first will end up in Kelaniya / Ruhuna Bio / Physical courses...
The cut-off mark for some courses on some campuses is 0.7 at the beginning .... but when filling the last vacancy, those campuses will also understand that the course has a score of 0.1 Z for that course, so do not give up your hopes.
2. Did you know that if you make this mistake you will not qualify for the boat rounds ??
- Did you know that a special law was introduced when sending boats from the year 2017/18 ?? -
Introduced a law to fill vacancies or send boats with effect from the year 2017/18.
This means that if you do not have UGC Registration for any course, you will not be sent a boat to fill a vacancy at any of the campuses that have that course.
Simply put, here's what happens ... Imagine that you first came across the cut - off mark at the Eastern University - Biological Science course ... do not register for it .... then this is what happens. ... When you do not register for the Biology course at Eastern University, UGC will remove all Biology courses from your Uni Code list ...
This means that in future vacancies you will not be selected for any Biological Science course on campus ... which is a big risk...
Explain it further as follows ... Suppose this is part of your Uni Codes list ...
1. Biology - University of Colombo
2. Biology - University of Jayewardenepura
3. Biology - University of Kelaniya
4. Biology - University of Peradeniya
5. Biology - University of Ruhuna
6.Biology - Eastern University
7.Biology - Southeastern University
8. Biology - University of Jaffna
Suppose you are selected from the Cut Off Marks for the Biological Science course at the Eastern University .... you will not be registered for it ... then you will be sent to study Biology course at any other campus without filling the vacancies. There ... they'll completely remove the biology course from your list ...
You may understand that it is a big risk .... because a lot of people who are selected for Eastern Biology from the First Cut - Off ... stop at the last boat rounds to do Biology in Ruhuna ... or do Biology in Kelaniya ...
So don't stay unregistered ... don't take such a risk ...
See you in Part 2
